The Opioid Affected Youth Initiative (OAYI) is offering online modules to educate, support, and empower individuals to work with youth and families impacted by opioid use. These modules are part of a broader strategy led by the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) to provide training and education on data-driven, coordinated responses to the opioid crisis.
The modules are intended to raise awareness about opioid misuse, its risks, and how to avoid it. They will offer strategies for preventing or intervening with youth who have substance use issues and connecting them to appropriate services at the earliest point possible. The modules will be interactive and include videos, knowledge checks, and downloaded resources to reinforce learning.
The first module is a preview of upcoming modules on Youth Prevention and Intervention Strategies to address substance use. This microlearning is brief but offers a glimpse of the online learning modules that will be offered soon!
